Half-Life 2 coming to next Sony and Nintendo consoles.

Half-Life 2 is to be ported to the next Sony and Nintendo consoles, Valve's Doug Lombardi revealed at last week's ECTS.

In an interview with French website Vossey.com, the Valve marketing director was asked "Will Half-Life 2 be released on other platforms?", to which he replied: "Yes, notably on Xbox. The game will be available on Xbox but not until 2004. The partnership with Microsoft isnât exclusive and we will also see this game on the next consoles by Sony and Nintendo."

But with the PS3 and Nintendo's "N5" console unlikely to hit their native Japanese market until late 2005 at the earliest, Xbox owners will have the bragging rights in the console space for a long while. No wonder Microsoft didn't bother with expensive exclusivity clauses...
