Gunner Galaxies

Gunner sequel to hit App Store in March.

"But why, sir? I’ve only had one bite!”

“You can blame Fluik Games – they just announced the sequel to Gunner, their bestselling 2010 iOS game that hit the top 5 or top 10 apps in a whole bunch of countries on Earth. They call it Gunner Galaxies, and it’ll bring Fluik’s 21 st-century take on asteroid-blasting classic arcade action to iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad when it hits the iTunes App Store in March. We need to get back to Earth so I can play it.”

“But sir… It’s a really good sandwich.”

“Don’t ‘but’ me, Private. That’s an order! We need to get back to Earth as soon as possible, which means you need to blast us out of this seemingly endless asteroid field, where the asteroids break up into smaller ones, and where they keep coming faster and faster. Yes, it’ll keep getting more difficult, but that’s why I need you, son.”

“Well… that does sound pretty cool. So the game lets players do what I’m doing right now?”

“Affirmative. It's going to be cheap, full of features you'd expect in a more expensive game. I know it sounds crazy, private, so you can stop furrowing your brow like that! They’ll have a bunch of different galaxies where you’ll blow up asteroids made of ice and fire and whatnot, which will add even more variety to the gameplay. Not that it won’t already be deep enough, with all of those unlockable and purchasable ship upgrades, totally awesome power-ups, over 100 achievements and more.”

“That sounds like a lot of value, sir.”

“This ain’t your gramma’s light-on-features app, Private. We’ve just received the first image transmissions of Gunner Galaxies. Bring up your web browser and go to Fluik’s Facebook page to see the beautiful screenshots of the game running on the iPad and on iPhone: http://www.facebook.com/FluikEntertainment.”

“That looks incredible, sir. Let’s roll.”

“Take us home.”
