Co-op multiplayer shooter sneaks onto the Mac App Store.
Detroit – March 10, 2011 – ANGRY MOB GAMES today announces that Guerrilla Bob , the hit iOS dual-stick shooter game, is now available on the Mac App Store. The comedic shooter offers stunning visuals, cross-platform multiplayer, an arsenal of kick-ass weaponry, unique enemies, explosive ammunition and non-stop humour.
The Mac version of Guerrilla Bob takes advantage of the Mac graphics power and also features many other gameplay improvements. It has various ‘next-gen’ visual effects, like real-time soft shadows, advanced shaders, bloom and glow, motion blur, soft particles, real-time lighting, and other image processing effects.
Guerrilla Bob’s storyline features a very special guest star: John Gore, from Chillingo and Mountain Sheep’s hit shooter game, Minigore. The storyline begins with Bob and John as childhood best buddies. As they grow up, the two go their separate ways. Bob decides to join the army, while John takes up a life of crime. Jealous of Bob’s success, John frames his childhood pal and Bob is kicked out of the army. With nothing left to lose, Guerrilla Bob is out to exact revenge on John, the man that destroyed his life.
Guerrilla Bob and his weaponry are controlled by players using the standard W, A, S, D keys for movement, and the mouse for aiming. Bob must adventure through dangerous canyons, steep deserts and eerie towns while he is regularly attacked by lawless enemies. Through intelligent exploration, players can discover new weaponry, power-ups and super abilities which are useful during some epic boss encounters.
Guerrilla Bob features CO-OP Multiplayer using split screen or local Wi-Fi. Players can join forces to overcome the toughest bosses, balance their equipped weapons and help each other out when in trouble. Two players can play on the same Mac, side by side, or connect their devices via local WiFi.
Using Cross-Platform Multiplayer, players will be able to connect a Mac, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and soon also a PC and Android device.
