GreyStripe secures USD 8.9 million in funding

Company behind GameJump sets sights on Europe and Asia

GreyStripe has secured a further USD 8.9 million in funding from Steamboat Ventures, a venture capital firm affiliated with The Walt Disney Company.

The new funds will be used by the company to expand its operations in Europe and Asia and to grow and enhance its business model.

GreyStripe operates the GameJump portal, which offers free games to consumers supported by the AdWrap system.

"GreyStripe's ground-breaking distribution model is recharging the mobile game industry and fuelling an explosion in mobile content," said Dan Belby, MD of Steamboat Ventures and now board member for GreyStripe.

"GreyStripe's innovative AdWrap technology and the value chain built around it have proven to be critical components to both mobile gaming companies and advertisers.

"Given its strong management team, market expertise and leading technology, the company is ideally positioned to capitalise on the tremendous growth in this area," offered Belby.
