Grainger Games charity football match

Fundraising footie tournament to be held on May 7th at Newcastle United's home ground.

4th May 2010, London – GamesAid, a UK games industry charity for children and young people, today confirmed details of the Grainger Games charity football match taking place at St James Park, Newcastle United’s home ground on May 7th 2010.

Grainger Games will field 38 staff to take part in a tournament in front of friends and family to cheer them on. Each of the players will make a donation and a collection will be held with all proceeds going to GamesAid.

Phil Moore, Grainger Games Sales Director, said: “We are delighted to be playing at such a prestigious ground and are planning to combine a really fun day with a GamesAid donation”. He added: “The local rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland will be played out on the pitch as there is a mix of support for both teams in Grainger Games. We are all looking forward to having fun and supporting a very worthy cause”.

“This is exactly the sort of activity that we encourage at GamesAid; it sounds like a great day out for the Grainger staff and GamesAid really appreciate the donation”, commented Andy Payne, Chairman, GamesAid.

All fundraising donations are gratefully received at www.justgiving.com/gamesaid.
