Kalypso Media's back catalogue released DRM-free.

Warsaw, Poland – September 10, 2009. GOG.com ( http://www.gog.com), the only place on the internet that resists the temptation of the evil DRM beast in its classic games, is pleased to announce that another publisher has joined the movement. Kalypso Media will release some of its notable back-catalogue titles like Incoming + Incoming Forces, Expendable, Port Royale and Mobile Forces. Those titles, Mobile Forces excepted, are already available at GOG.com for just $5.99 each.

Expendable, the ultra-fast action game by Rage Games, puts the player in shoes of the Millennium Soldier – humanity's only hope in a war against vicious aliens. The game will test players’ reflexes and eyes as they shoot hordes of bad guys across 20 levels with a wide array of weapons to help cause widespread destruction.

Incoming, also created by Rage Games, was a great-looking game when it was released back in 1998, as noted in reviews by IGN and PC Zone, among others. Just like Expendable, Incoming was created to provide fast-paced and fun arcade-style gameplay in which the player has one mission: kill all of the alien invaders by any means necessary, be it manning a turret, tank, helicopter, harrier jet or even a captured alien fighter.

For calmer gameplay, Kalypso brings Port Royale to GOG.com's catalogue. The first part of the business strategy series by Ascaron takes players to the 16th century Caribbean, where the goal is simple: become the Governor. Of course, the player can always become a pirate and search for hidden treasure if the legit route isn’t favored. The varied gameplay, including the impressive economic system and patrolling the seas with warships, were key positives mentioned in reviews by IGN and GameSpot.

"We've been very impressed with GOG.com's gamer-friendly approach to digital distribution, and are excited to bring our games to the site," said Ian Richardson of IGR Limited. "We hope that new and existing fans will enjoy revisiting Rage Software's great classic titles, as well as the other excellent games going to GOG.com with this agreement."

“Signing the deal with Kalypso adds another dose of great games that were really well received by media and gamers all around the world to our catalogue,” said Adam Oldakowski, Managing Director of GOG.com. “Such gems as Incoming, Port Royale and Expendable can provide endless hours of fun.”

Expendable, Port Royale and the bundle of Incoming and Incoming Forces are already available on GOG.com for $5.99 each.
