Genemation unveils new modelling tool

Designed for mobile content

Liverpool-based technology company Genemation has unveiled a new set of face and feature tracking tools designed to offer new opportunities to mobile content developers.

The patented technology enables real-time capture and quick editing of faces, and is said to "create innovative, compelling and revenue generating solutions for image rights owners and brand marketeers".

Users take a photograph with their mobile phone, webcam or other device such as EyeToy and upload it to the GenMobile server. A variety of options for image processing are then available, such as the addition of glasses or a beard, gender swap, morphing and expression changes. Faces can also be swapped onto different bodies, such as those of celebrities.

The image can then be forwarded to locations such as another phone or a social networking website.

According to Genemation, "Generic and customised server applications can be built to suit clients requirements and integrated with other new media platforms to create unique and compelling revenue-generating services."
