Sega Europe has announced that Gem Distribution will be handling the distribution of its titles to independent retailers and certain multiples in the UK and Ireland, resuming a relationship with the retailer which includes the launch of Dreamcast.

Gem will be responsible for marketing and selling Sega titles through to indie retailers, and multiples who require storefront deliveries will also be covered under Gem's remit. As previously reported, certain multiple and catalogue sales will be handled by Andromeda.

"Gem proved to be a very valuable partner during Segaâs Dreamcast days," commented Mike Sherlock, executive VP for sales and marketing at Sega Europe, "and never complacent in their commitment to SEGA. Their passion and dedication to improving their own very high standards makes them an ideal partner for our new software business."
