GDC Online opens registrations

Discounts of up to 55% available now for October event in Austin, Texas

Organisers of the GDC Online event in Austin, Texas have announced that registrations for the 2010 event have begun, with a range of discounted tickets available.

Formerly known as GDC Austin the annual event repositioned itself last year with a focus on online gaming, including social network games, free-to-play titles and large scale massively multiplayer online games.

The event is due to take place from October 5-8 at the Austin Convention Center. A 55 per cent Alumni Discount is now available until August 4.

A 40 per cent Early Discount is available until September 1 and a Regular Discount of 20 percent until September 30.

Specific conference sessions are due to be announced this June, in one of five topic tracks: business & marketing, design, production, programming, and the new live track.

The live track will focus on successful post-launch strategies, including split-testing, live team composition, balancing customer service and community relations, and quality assurance in a live environment.

GDC Online will also feature one and two-day summits addressing emerging topics such as the changing role of game narrative, iPhone and iPad game development, and developing 3D-enabled gaming experiences.
