Network middleware specialists DemonWare are set to reveal their latest product at the Game Developers Conference next week in San Francisco, with the Matchmaking+ system providing full lobby services for multiplayer games.

A new element of the DemonWare Netcode Suite, Matchmaking+ offers a set of tools for online titles on multiple console, PC and handheld platforms, including friends lists, statistics, user management, content downloads and, unsurprisingly, matchmaking.

"DemonWare Matchmaking+ is the first lobby suite to be specifically developed for current game genres and console requirements," according to DemonWare CTO Sean Blanchfield.

"Alongside a great state engine, it incorporates encryption and authentication, integrated NAT and leaderboard support and a sub 150k memory footprint, and all this with European and US based support," he continued.

DemonWare will be at Booth ES24 at GDC 2005. Interested parties can arrange meetings with the company by contacting gdc2005meeting@demonware.net.
