The CMP Game Group has announced a call for submissions from the industry for the forthcoming GDC 07 conference, seeking ideas for seminars, lectures, roundtables, panel sessions or tutorials.

The theme for 2007 is "Take Control" and submissions should focus on the arrival of next-gen console hardware, peripherals and online marketplace models.

"Now more than ever, developers are empowered to create and distribute a broad range of games, be they casual, online, independent, small-footprint mobile, or epic, blockbuster console or PC adventures - using a broader range of financial and organisational tools and partners - and GDC presents the leading forum to share these opportunities as a unified creative industry," commented GDC executive director Jamil Moledina.

The submission deadline has been set for Friday July 28th, and all abstracts will be reviewed by the conference advisory committee before the final programme of events is decided.

GDC is scheduled to take place from March 5th-9th, 2007 at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco. For more information on the conference, submission ideas and an application form for entry, please visit the GDC website.
