GCDC issues call for papers

The organisers of the Games Convention Developers Conference have issued a call to the games industry for submission of topics for this year's event.

The organisers of the Games Convention Developers Conference have issued a call to the games industry for submission of topics for this year's event.

GCDC, which takes place from August 18-20 just before Games Convention, will feature main topics including online games, casual games and the latest server technologies.

The event will also feature presentations and workshops on development, business and science, particularly covering financing, international project management and new business models.

Frank Sliwka, project director for the conference, outlined the event's global vision: "Next to developers from Europe, we have addressed developers in North America. The new GCDC program will also address topics and trends of the Asian game industry."

GCDC will once again take place at the Liepziger Messe in Leipzig, Germany, and more information on the submission process for papers can be found on the event's web site.
