GC freestyle: Nevada Tan, H-Blockx and Samy Deluxe complete the performance programme

As of today, the on-stage programme is complete for this year's first ever "GC freestyle" open-air festival from 23 to 26 August. Alongside the bands already booked, Madsen, Revolverheld and Virginia Jetzt!, the GC (Games Convention) has been able to sign up six more top music groups. Among others, the crossover band H-Blockx and star rapper Samy Deluxe will be performing on the GC freestyle stage. With Nevada Tan, one of the currently most up-and-coming German rock bands is also on board.

GC freestyle is being held for the first time alongside the GC. The site is close to the Leipzig Fair at the stadium "Stadion des Friedens" ("Max-Liebermann Street"). As well as exclusive live concerts, GC visitors can enjoy a range of sports and their own outdoor swimming pool. A campsite is also available for overnight stays. Day tickets cost 43 euros, four-day tickets 130 euros. For the concerts only, tickets cost 24.80 euros (in advance from Funtix 19.80 euros). As well as admission to the GC freestyle area, tickets include attendance at the GC and use of local public transport.

The GC is Europe's number one fair for interactive entertainment, infotainment and hardware. Around 390 exhibitors from the game industry are expected at the Leipzig Exhibition Centre from 23 to 26 August. All in all, 115,000 square metres (2006: 90,000) are available to game fans. The GC is open on Thursday and Sunday from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.. On the Friday and Saturday, opening hours are extended to 8.00 p.m.. Further information is available at www.gc-germany.com.
