LEIPZIG, Germany and SINGAPORE - November 25, 2008 – LMI Leipziger Messe International (LMI), the organizer of GCA Games Convention Asia, today announced that its third convention for interactive entertainment and digital media will take place from September 17-20, 2009 in Singapore. This time the convention will take place over four days, with the first day reserved just for Professional Visitors. The Games Convention Asia Conference (GCAC) that runs alongside the public exhibition, will take place from September 17-20, 2009 as well.

“By extending the show for another day, we are meeting the needs and requests of both the industry and supporting government associations,“ said Jorg Zeissig, General Manager of Leipziger Messe International (LMI). “With the growing success of the show year and the interest in the region, it was a logical decision to grow and extend the show while providing a dedicated day where the industry can focus on business to business opportunities prior to the consumer segment.”

The GCA consists of four pillars: the GC Asia Conference, the Business Center, the Matchmaking area and the public exhibition with regional games tournaments. Discussions have begun with all relevant industry representatives, organisations and government associations of the region for an even more successful GCA 2009.
