Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre Singapore

(September 18-20, 2008)

Leipzig, Germany/Singapore, May 9, 2008 – Games Convention Asia Conference (GCAC) today opened its call for papers. From now until June 15th, experts from the international game community can submit speaking proposals for the upcoming Games Convention Asia Conference, taking place at Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre Singapore, September 18-19, 2008.

GCAC accompanies Games Convention Asia (GCA), the only convention in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region for interactive entertainment, infotainment, edutainment, hardware and technology. GCA offers the international development scene a unique forum for networking and business opportunities. The main topics for this year’s conference are:

• Casual Games

• Online Games

• Financing

• Outsourcing

• Business Models

The organizer of both events is Leipziger Messe International (LMI), a subsidiary of Leipziger Messe. GCAC is powered by the team that puts on GC Developers Conference, the leading video game industry conference in Europe.

“Thanks to its outstanding location, and the dynamically growing digital entertainment industry of the Asia-Pacific region, GCAC offers the ideal forum for knowledge exchange, and to promote business contacts between Asia, Europe, and North America,” commented Frank Sliwka, project director of GCAC and GCDC.

“Last year’s GCA had some of the best speakers in the Asian gaming industry scene, like Desmond Lu Guangyuan of Shanda and Jawahar Kanjilal of Nokia, as well as international stars like legendary game designer Bob Bates, and Steve Schnur of Electronic Arts, sharing their experience and insight on the games industry,” said Joerg Zeissig, managing director of LMI Asia. “This year, we’re inviting the industry’s best minds to come and present, discuss, and exhibit topics that can contribute to the fast-growing digital entertainment and video game industry of the Asia-Pacific region.”

To submit a topic or nominate a speaker for consideration, please visit the GCA 2008 website at: www.gc-asia.sg. The event’s website was recently re-launched and its content will be regularly updated with news pertaining to GCA 2008, including articles and columns on the Asia-Pacific video game industry.
