Gardner takes charge of SCi / Eidos' US operation

SCi has announced the appointment of a new head of its North American publishing operations, with Bill Gardner taking over the San Francisco office which was inherited by the firm as part of its recent acquisition of Eidos.

Gardner was formerly the head of O-3 Entertainment, a firm which aimed to find distribution deals for indie developers, but is best known for his lengthy stint at the helm of Capcom USA and Capcom Europe.

He will be overseeing all activities at SCi / Eidos' US operation, which are based at the Crystal Dynamics site in California.

Meanwhile, his former role at O-3 will be filled by the firm's former vice president of sales and marketing, Chris Jelinek, who plans to extend the company's reach in Asia and Europe, as well as expanding the company in the mobile entertainment space.
