MAGFest music festival acts revealed.

Philadelphia, PA---Thursday, October 15, 2009--- GameX (Games & Media Expo), October 23-25, 2009 in Oaks, PA, today announced their complete line-up of music acts for the MAGFest music festival at GameX. The OneUps are the featured live video game music band scheduled to perform during the 3-day game consumer show, along with The Megas, Armcannon, Rare Candy, Fenix Down, JJ Demon and Fosterchild.

MAGFest, also known as the Music and Gaming Festival, will provide a groundbreaking video game music experience at GameX, featuring live video game cover bands The OneUps, The Megas, Armcannon and Rare Candy along with chiptune artists, an open jam area, and original music acts Fenix Down, JJ Demon and Fosterchild. Now in its eighth year, MAGFest, home to the east coast's best video game music concerts, is lending its experience and proven track record in video game music to GameX.

The OneUps will play on the GameX main stage, co-hosted by MAGFest and CD Baby, on Friday and Saturday evening at 6:30 pm, with Rare Candy opening on Friday at 5:30 pm and The Megas opening on Saturday at 5:30 pm. Arm Cannon will play an extended set at 4:30 pm on Sunday, October 25.

Original music acts at GameX feature popular bands Fenix Down, JJ Demon and Fosterchild. Fenix Down, hailing from New York, abashedly embrace their inner gamer, a fact that has won them the respect of geeks the world over, and will help them make new fans on Friday, October 23 at 7:30 pm. Fenix Down played a key role in marketing GameX, as one of their tracks, “Fallen,” is the audio for the GameX TV ad campaign.

JJ Demon brings his special brand of lyrical hip hop to GameX on Saturday, October 24 at 7:30 pm. He recently inked a record deal with Revel Music Group, and has started work on his album with 9-time Grammy-winning producer Joe "The Butcher" Nicolo, founder of the legendary Ruffhouse Records (The Fugees, Cypress Hill, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Kris Kross, Nas, Bloodhound Gang).

National act with local roots Fosterchild rock GameX on Sunday, October 25 at 6 pm. Their influences range from AC/DC and The Cult to Elvis Presley and The Byrds, earning them a reputation as a crowd-pleaser. Launched by former Fuel drummer Kevin Miller and former Octane guitarist Brian Quinn, the band is rounded out by Danny Beissel on vocals and Erik Leonhardt on bass.
