Expert Editorial Staff Choose Top Products in 22 Categories Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Awarded E3 2006 "Best of Show"


Santa Monica, Calif. - (May 22, 2006) - GameTrailers unveils the winners of the first annual "GameTrailers Best of E3 Awards." Celebrating the outstanding achievements in gaming, one winner in 22 separate categories were hand-picked from hundreds of games exhibited at the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The top award, "Best of Show," was given to Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed, while other stand-out honorees included SCEA's Resistance: Fall of Man for "Best Playstation 3" and the Xbox 360 for "Best Hardware."

"The GT judges were blown away by the caliber of games at this year's E3," said Shane Satterfield, Editor-in-Chief, GameTrailers. "Choosing the best games at the show is our way of recognizing the hard work and creativity that go into making these games exceptional."

Nominees were narrowed down to five per category totaling 110 nominees across all platforms and genres. With the exception of the "Best Trailer Award," all games must have been playable at the show to be eligible for nomination. Nominees were chosen by the expert editorial staff at GameTrailers.
