GameStop appoints new member to board of directors

Ex Activision Publishing president Kathy Vrabeck joins retail giant

US retailer GameStop has added a new face to its board in the form of Kathy Vrabeck, former president of Activision Publishing, and EA's casual entertainment brand.

"Kathy brings deep knowledge of the digital and multimedia entertainment space to GameStop's board of directors," said executive chairman Dan DeMatteo.

"We are delighted to have her join our organisation and are confident that her strong sector experience will be a tremendous asset to the company."

Vrabeck has more recently been president of the digital arm of Legendary Pictures, focussing on games, and a media, entertainment and digital partner at recruitment firm Heidrick & Struggles. She also sits on the Zeebo board.
