Gamescom Asia sets date for 2022 show

Event will open to the public for the first time on October 20-23

Dates for the second Gamescom Asia event have been unveiled, with the show set to take place later this year between October 20 - 23.

Same as last year, the conference will be held in Singapore, at the Suntec Singapore Convention centre. It'll also adopt a hybrid model, offering a combination of online and in-person content.

The event will also be accessible to the public for the first time this year, with the opening of a new physical entertainment zone offering game demos, live shows and more.

Tickets are scheduled to be released in the coming months.

"It is the year for gaming events as Gamescom and Gamescom Asia restart their physical formats, once again welcoming visitors to the show floor," said Mathias Kuepper, managing director of Gamescom Asia organiser Koelnmesse Singapore.

"We are very excited to bring back a festival atmosphere, of course within safe and calculated measures as we are not yet out of the pandemic, but overall, the enthusiasm has been evident amongst the community and industry."

Last year, Gamescom Asia took place as a hybrid event, offering online talks alongside a physical conference for industry professionals to attend.
