Helping Smash Bro'z HipHop Collective to get to Las Vegas.

30th June 2010, London – GamesAid, a UK games industry charity for children and young people, is proud to have presented a cheque for £2,000 to Smash Bro'z HipHop Collective at The British Inspiration awards to help them get to Las Vegas to take part in this year’s World Hip Hop Championships.

The British Inspiration awards recognises Britain’s top creative, entrepreneurial and inspiration minds from the worlds of fashion, film, television, arts, science and innovation, recognising the cream of creative Britain. Winners this year included Sir George Martin, Michael Eavis, Alexander McQueen, Elisabeth Murdoch and Sir James Dyson.

The World Hip Hop Championships are to be held at Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort this year and will be attended by more than 30 nationalities and more than 120 dance crews with the finals on August 2nd 2010.

Andre Brown a spokesperson for British hopefuls said “we’ve worked really hard to be here but the £2,000 donation really made it possible”

Andy Payne from GamesAid added “we’re proud to be a part of SmashBro’z success and wish these talented youngsters a all the best at the World Championships”

The inaugural British Inspiration Awards took place on Friday 23rd of April 2010 at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London EC1.
