Games industry charity bowling tournament returns to London

Space Ape won last year's event that raised £27,000 for charity

European games companies will go head-to-head in London for the second charity bowling tournament.

Strike Club: The Rematch will take place at the Croc Bowling alley within London's Ham Yard hotel on Thursday, April 27th. 32 teams are invited to compete and claim the trophy from 2016's winners - Space Ape.

Sponsors including Mini Clip, Space Ape, Sega Marcussen Consulting, First Touch Games and Facebook mean that the event is on-course to smash last year's fundraising efforts of £27,000. All money this year will be split between SpecialEffect and Maggie's, the cancer care charity.

"The response and support for our first Strike Club was incredible," says Chris Lee, who is co-organising the event with Rupert Loman. "We raised a huge amount of money for SpecialEffect and everyone had a great time doing it. We're determined that this year will be bigger and better."

There are a few team spaces remaining, although they're expected to sell out this week. Sponsorship packages are also available. Contact Elspeth Lawson for more information on how to take part.
