Gamereactor UK

Nordic games magazine sets up shop in Blighty, with an iPad magazine to launch next month.

Copenhagen, December 21: The largest print games magazine (300.000 readers a month) and website in the Nordic region Gamereactor (2.000.000 uniques a month), have launched a UK branch of Gamereactor – www.gamereactor.eu - to bolster its multi-regional overage across mainland Europe.

Alongside daily news and features, the website includes an English version of Gamereactor’s eMagazine ( www.gamereactor.eu/emag) and all the latest English programs from GRTV ( www.gamereactor.eu/grtv).

Gamereactor UK is also pleased to announce that it has started producing a specially designed monthly iPad magazine, the first issue of which will be available from early January 2011.

Heading up the effort is new UK Editor in chief Gillen McAllister. McAllister, two-time Games Media Award nominee and recently nominated for videogame trade magazine MCV’s 30 under 30, who moves from Future Publishing’s best-selling games magazine Official Xbox 360 Magazine to take on the role. He’ll be joined by Assitant Editors Bengt Lemne and Petter Martensson in developing the UK site.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be kick-starting Gamereactor’s UK launch, and to be working alongside such a diverse and professional team who are passionate for both the subject matter and for the site to succeed in such a packed market,” said McAllister.

The UK branch bolsters the company’s international coverage alongside the pre-existing seven regional sites in Italy, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Spain.
