Gameloft to launch more titles in Korea

New distribution agreement signed with KTF

Gameloft has signed a new deal with Korean telecoms operator KTF to distribute mobile games in the territory.

The first two titles released are Might and Magic and 2006 Real Football 3D - with around 20 games to follow in the coming months. Titles will be priced at KRW 2500 (2 Euro) each.

"Korea is a major mass market for mobile games, where penetration usage reaches 12 per cent of mobile users," said Gameloft business development manager Won Cho.

"With very aggressive pricing, high quality handsets and excellent quality service on the deck, this market is considered as a benchmark all over the world. Our first games being a success there is a major encouragement to pursue our strategy."

Gameloft already has a foothold in the Korean market - back in March, the publisher signed a distribution deal with SK Telecom.
