Gameloft Comes To Town To Demonstrate Mobile Games To Students

London - 15th December 2006 - Universities of London and Manchester have been hit by a mobile phone gaming extravaganza.

Implemented in the UK for the first time ever by Gameloft - one of the world's leading publishers and developers of mobile games - students have been given the chance to sample sought after new mobile games for free on a larger than life mobile TV screen specially designed for innovative customer demonstration.

During the tour, Gameloft showed off in collaboration with O2 UK a selection of its latest games including; Asphalt 3 Street Rules, Miami Nights singles in the city, Lumines, Dogz, Real Football 2006, Midnight Hold'em Poker and Deal or No Deal - the latter proved to be a real hit with the students! Thousands took up the free trial offer and were completely blown away by the graphics, ease-of-use and download cost of the games.

The games were demonstrated on the Pixman Monitor which is worn as a back-pack that has a video screen ergonomically supported above the carriers' head. To complement this truly mobile experiential project, a promotional team was on hand offering additional free demos on slick mobile phone handsets.

Of the tour, Gameloft Marketing Manager Charles Revillon commented; "We see this experiential campaign as an integral part of our marketing activity to get games literally into people's hands."

"The Pixman offers us a unique way of interacting with consumers to demonstrate our games, and it is mobile so can be used in diverse situations and environments. Plus, its novel nature certainly turns heads and grabs peoples' attention. We hope that the success of this tour will enable us to work with our other mobile phone network partners moving into 2007."
