Game Outlet launches Nordic Games Publishing
New videogames publisher to focus on delivering budget games across Europe
Game Outlet Europe AB has announced the launch of its own videogame publishing company, Nordic Games Publishing AB.
Nordic Games will focus on publishing budget or midrange titles of both licensed and new IP on the PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, DS, and PC.
The new publisher currently has five projects in development, which will be distributed across Europe through traditional retail, distributors and the Game Outlet Pallet network of over 2,000 retailers.
"This is an exciting time for the group, and with the huge expansion of the market we feel it is the right time to enter the publishing business," said Pelle Lundborg, publishing director of Nordic Games.
"Our unique distribution method means that platforms like the Sony PlayStation 2, has at least another three years left in its lifecycle, and we are in a position to benefit from this."
