TIGA taking 15 UK games companies to neighbouring France.

TIGA, in partnership with the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Tradeshow Access Programme, is taking 15 games businesses to Lyon to attend Game Connection Europe taking place from 8-10 December 2009.

The developers, including Mere Mortals, Rebellion, Proper, Tag Games, DR Studios and Firebrand Games, have through TIGA received a grant from the UKTIs Tradeshow Access Programme to attend the show, with the aim of promoting and supporting UK creative businesses.

Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO stated: "We are delighted to be taking so many companies to Game Connection this year. TIGA is determined to help games businesses improve their opportunities for growth, profitability and expansion. As an accredited trade organisation, TIGA works with UKTI's Tradeshow Access Programme in supporting British businesses looking to exhibit at overseas trade shows.

Game Connection takes place every year in Lyon, France. The event is designed to showcase new games, new technology and affiliated industries to publishers, platform owners and other relevant parties. This year the show will host over 220 exhibitors from 33 different countries. The UK boasts the second largest presence at the show with 33 UK companies attending in total.
