GAME appoints new executive director

Terry Scicluna promoted from COO to help dictate the direction of the GAME and Gamestation stores

GAME has announced the appointment of Terry Scicluna to the role of executive director, effective immediately.

In his new role he will continue to the company's chief executive, Lisa Morgan. Scicluna served as GAME's chief operating officer for the UK and Ireland since he joined the company in October last year. He was previously COO at Alliance Pharmacy and has also held senior roles at Thorn EMI, Brighthouse and Radio Rentals.

"I am pleased to join the GAME board at such an exciting time," said Scicluna.

"GAME Group has expanded its store portfolio and consumer reach dramatically over the last few years and most notably in the UK with the 2007 acquisition of Gamestation. I am looking forward to the challenge of improving, still further, the consumer appeal of both brands and delivering integration efficiencies."

Peter Lewis, chairman of The GAME Group, added: "We are delighted to welcome Terry Scicluna to our board. Terry is an experienced retailer with a valuable track record of direct involvement in major business integrations."

"He will develop our dual brand strategy for GAME and Gamestation in the UK and Ireland, enhancing the Group's specialist proposition."
