GAME announces senior management changes

UK-based high street retailer GAME has announced a series of changes to its senior management structure as part of plans to prepare for the next-generation console launches.

Deputy CEO Lisa Morgan will also take on the role of UK managing director, while Tricia Brennan has been promoted from head of buying to buying director.

She takes over from Alex Croft, who is now managing director of group online business and responsible for game.net, Gameplay and online business development in Europe.

Chief Executive Martin Long will work with Morgan and David Thomas (group finance director) on group strategy, with a focus on development in continental Europe. He will receive support from Marc Spence (MD for continental Europe) and Nick Martel (property director for Europe).

"There are many exciting prospects facing our industry in the months ahead, with the impending launch of the PSP and the future launches of both Xbox 2 and PS3," said Long.

"All hold tremendous opportunities for GAME. With our new structure, we'll have an even stronger team in place to work with all our partners in the industry as we continue to grow our store base."
