Galaxy on Fire 2

Space shooter sequel available for iPhone now.

Hamburg, Germany, 27 October 2010 – Today - after over a year of development - marks the appearance of Galaxy on Fire 2™, the iPhone version of the sequel to the epic outer space shooter with trading simulation from Fishlabs. The first part was already described by the mobile gaming press as ”games’ ambassador to the iPhone” and was featured as one of the 100 best games in 2009 by Apple. Galaxy on Fire 2™ sets new standards and offers a never-before-seen quality and game depth in the sci-fi genre. In over 10 hours of outer space adventure, players can explore a complete galaxy, with more than 20 solar systems, 100 different 3D space stations, over 30 extensively upgradeable spaceships, as well as countless exciting freelance missions, and a complex trading simulation.

An epic, fully dubbed story tells the dramatic battle for survival by the Terrans, Midorians, Nivellians, and the Vossk. The mercenary Keith Maxwell, hero of the first part, has been catapulted through time and space by a malfunction in his spaceship’s hyperdrive. He awakens 35 years later and finds himself in a changed galaxy. The Voids, an aggressive alien species, have invaded known space using wormhole technology and threaten the fragile peace. United by the massive external threat, the former enemies now fight side-by-side.

As mercenary Keith T. Maxwell, players can follow the main plot, carry out a wide variety of side missions, or just go on raids. Booty can be sold for a profit at one of the many stations in order to outfit your ship with better weapons and custom equipment. Ore mining in the dangerous asteroid belts also pays off, in order to be able to manufacture special equipment or trade goods with blueprints. Using new special weapons, tactical orders to wingmen, and the option of taking control of gun turrets, players must hold their own in special secret missions and epic space battles.

‘We spent a lot of time working on Galaxy on Fire 2™ so that we could offer the over two million fans of the first part and those who will become fans a truly unique console-style gaming experience on the iPhone,’ says Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment. ‘We are sure that Galaxy on Fire 2™ will not only be the new benchmark in the science fiction genre, but is also a game that many iPhone players have been waiting for.’
