Frogster restructuring

Management reshuffle at Berlin-based online game publisher.

Berlin, 10/12/2010: Frogster has reorganized the second level of management for Marketing and PR as part of its restructuring of management. Christian Szymanski now leads Brand Management and Online Marketing as Director of Marketing for the Berlin-based publisher of online games. Andreas Peltret has been named Director Business Development and leads the corresponding department that is responsible for extensive marketing and media cooperations. The leadership of the company’s PR activities has also been reorganized to benefit the ongoing product diversification. Marco Neubert has been coordinating press and public relations for all Frogster games in Europe as Director Product PR since August 2010. He now leads Frogster’s PR department together with Axel Schmidt, who assumed his current role as Director of Corporate Communications in August as well.

Christian Szymanski had risen from Senior Marketing Manager to Head of Brand Marketing in August 2010 before taking on his newest position as Director of Marketing. Before his move to Berlin he worked in his hometown of Hamburg as Brand Manager for games publisher Codemasters, where he coordinated marketing and PR strategies for titles such as the well-known online RPG ‘Lord of the Rings Online’. Andreas Peltret has been working for Frogster and the OnlineWelten Network GmbH as Senior Marketing Manager since 2006 and became Director of Sales & Cooperations in 2008. Before his move to Berlin, the trained IT merchant and marketing and communications graduate (VWA) was a founding partner of the Frankfurt-based games portal GameVision, which was incorporated into OnlineWelten in 2006.

Marco Neubert moved from his position as Director of Web Publishing and Editor-in-Chief at OnlineWelten to Director of Product PR at Frogster in August 2010. The educated industrial clerk holding a degree in Marketing and Communications (VWA) founded the games portal GameVision in 2003 together with Andreas Peltret, where he was responsible for the editorial content as Editor-in-Chief. Axel Schmidt has been in charge of press and public relations at Frogster since he became Head of PR in May 2008. He moved from the public relations agency Borgmeier Public Relations in Hamburg to Frogster’s PR department in October 2006 and now supports the Board of Directors of Frogster Interactive Pictures AG in Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. In this position he is also responsible for coordinating operations with Frogster’s American subsidiary Frogster America and for large-scale PR projects, that are bound to the upper-level management.

“PR, marketing, and business development have always been the three pillars of Frogster’s success. With our highly competent and experienced new management team, we are positioned excellently to continue expanding our international operations and forthcoming products”, commented Daniel Ullrich, Chief Marketing Officer at Frogster Online Gaming, on the reorganization of personnel.
