Frogger Returns

Yes he does.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced it is to revisit the classic Frogger franchise, with a new download title for WiiWare™ and PlayStation®Network, entitled Frogger Returns.

Frogger Returns is an updated version of the timeless arcade game, adding new elements to the addictive dodge-and-run gameplay fans know and love. Players are thrown back into the hustle and bustle of city life as they attempt to guide the amphibious hero from the city back to his home marsh. Frogger Returns stays true to the classic arcade gameplay style, but is enhanced with improved graphics, a new camera angle, and new levels.

Fresh elements and challenges await within levels based on streets, sewers, subways, while Frogger Returns also benefits from numerous other obstacles and enemies – all keen to keep Frogger away from returning home! Balancing things out, however, are new power-ups including time reverse, invincibility and time freeze that aid Frogger in his travels.

Frogger Returns is a dozen times the size of the original, and boasts crisp 3D graphics and local multiplayer capabilities. Players can go head-to-head in timed capture-the- pad races, as well as compete with friends by showing off their best scores. With a 25-year legacy, innovative controller options and extended levels, Frogger Returns provides all players the ultimate casual and core gaming experience on Wii and PLAYSTATION®3.

Frogger Returns will be available to download via WiiWare™ and the PlayStation®Network in Q4 2009. For more information, please contact. Steve Merrett at Voltage PR on 020 7903 5122 or email steve@voltagepr.com.
