Global Player Arena tournament teams selected.

GameKiss National Team to Participate 2010 GPA (Global Player Arena) in Shanghai Has Been Selected ‘T-Bag’n’ and ‘Jorel lugtu’ have been selected respectively for North America and Philippine after fierce competition Online Street Basketball Freestyle, serviced by global game portal, GameKiss, held GameKiss National Team Selection League to determine teams to participate GPA, Global Player Arena tournament where representing teams from 7 different countries will compete for the final winner, during September 6 th through 12 th. Through a week-long competition, 2 teams were selected representing North America and Philippines.

 

Especially at North America division, defending champion of 2009 GameKiss Major Club League was regarded as a formidable candidate for North American representative. But the team ‘T-Bag’n’ from Texas, U.S., advanced to the final while posting the identical score with the defending champion of Major Club League and managed to put up a great duel against the champ. Eventually, the team ‘T-Bag’n’ pulled off a dramatic victory by one point, 28:27, after tying up the first two rounds at one, to become the representative of North America.

 

Darren, a captain of the team ‘T-Bag’n’, expressed the team’s determination by saying, “We have been playing this game for a long time waiting for something like this to come about.  We feel as though we can represent the U.S. well and will try our best to win the qualifier.”

 

Upon the selection of 2 representing teams for North America and Philippines, Joey, GM of Freestyle, said, “After taking the remarkable response from the users toward Freestyle Rookie and Major Tournament held during last summer vacation, we decided to select 2 teams representing the two regions in order to provide more opportunities for GameKiss users to compete against the users from the nations where Freestyle had been serviced for quite some time.”

 

Representatives of GameKiss for North America and Philippines are scheduled to leave for Shanghai, China to participate in the Global Championship GPA Tournament tentatively on October 20 th.
