Football Director DS

92 English & Welsh league management game out today.

London, UK – 28 November 2008 – Football Director DS, the first football management game for the hugely popular Nintendo DS™, is now available in all major high street retail outlets. Released by the leading UK distributor Pinnacle Entertainment, and officially licensed by the Football League, Football Director DS was designed by football management guru Roger Womack.

Football Director DS allows users to take total control over each of the 92 English & Welsh Football League and Premier League teams. The game has an intuitive, stylus-driven interface, packed with plenty of tactical and strategic depth but is still easy to pick up and play. It’s a terrific game for commuters as it can be played on the move, in five-minute chunks and over longer, season conquering sessions. Football Director DS is ideal for any football fan and will make a great gift or Christmas stocking filler.

Recent reviews of the game also agree. “We're happy to report that this one and only representative of the beautiful game on your Nintendo DS is a winner” Playzine. “You may not believe it if you've never tried such a game but after a few matches with Football Director DS you'll be utterly drawn in.” PocketGamer.

In support of the launch, Jeremy Lynch, the renowned UK football freestyler who recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, attempted four football-related Guinness World Records™:

• Longest time controlling a football with the soles – 6:01 minutes

• Most football rolls across the forehead - 50

• Most heal juggles in a minute – 88

• Furthest distance travelled with a football balanced on the head – 281.57m

“We selected Jeremy for his originality, personality and freestyle football skills, which were put to the test when he attempted four football-related Guinness World Records in support of the launch” said Oliver Birch, Pinnacle Marketing Manager. “Seeing his ability to have total control over the football aligns well with the passion and spirit of the Football Director DS game."

As the face of the Football Director DS advertising campaign, Jeremy demonstrated his skills in a series of, online and broadcast adverts scheduled in ad breaks during Football, Sky Sports News, Soccer AM, Match! And featuring Match!, 442 & Sport magazines.

Jeremy also appears in a series of freestyle football skill tutorials that include ‘The Neck Catch’, ‘Around The World’, which are already available. The remaining short video tutorials created in support of the launch of Football Director DS, will be released throughout the remainder of 2008 and can be found on the Football Director DS website, http://www.footballdirector.com and other football related sites.

“Football Director DS has been earmarked as one of our major releases of the year. We are excited to deliver the first and only football management game currently available for the Nintendo DS™.” says Birch.

Football Director DS was officially launched on 28th November and is available at all high street retailers for SRP £29.99.
