Focus secures rights to THQ's PC back catalogue

Focus Multimedia has secured the exclusive sales and distribution rights to THQ's back catalogue of Windows PC CD-ROM titles, the budget games publisher announced this week.

The first fruits of the deal will retail for less than £10, forming part of Focus's Revival, PC Fun Club and Essential ranges between now and Christmas.

The company aims to release "many more" THQ titles over the next two years, adding to a portfolio of products that already includes Ubisoft and LEGO software as well as various educational titles.

Focus Managing Director Craig Johnson believes that his company's Q4 line is its "strongest ever" with the addition of THQ titles. "THQ is recognised worldwide as a leading games publisher, and we're excited to partner with them."

THQ (UK) Ltd Managing Director Roy Campbell said it was a "great opportunity". "Working with Focus on our expansive back catalogue of games is a great opportunity for THQ to expand our business and realise the success of these titles," he added.
