Fishlabs signs exclusive US licensing deal

Five 3D mobile games heading to US markets

Hamburg based mobile games studio Fishlabs has announced its move into US markets, thanks to an exclusive five-title licensing agreement with wireless entertainment publisher Superscape.

Under the terms of the agreement, Superscape will publish the titles, which are all compatible with over sixty handsets, in North, Central and South America. The first two games will be made available in the coming weeks.

Fishlabs CEO Michael Schade commented: "Superscape is an excellent partner to bring our premium 3D titles to the American Continent. Superscape's strong commitment to 3D mobile games and its leading position as publisher for 3D mobile games is well known in the industry."

"With established distribution channels to all major network operators Superscape opens a huge consumer base to us. Furthermore, due to Superscape's close business relations with ARM and other key players of the mobile hardware industry, we get great support in running our games on even the latest 3D devices," Schade added.

The first two games to be released under the new deal will be G.O.F. - Galaxy on Fire, and Burning Tyres. Galaxy on Fire promises to offer more than fifty hours of gameplay, featuring a galactic trading system between 500 planets, over 30 enemy types, 20 space-crafts and frenetic gameplay as players are thrust into an intergalactic conflict.

Burning Tyres includes both single and real-time multi-player gaming over 12 different tracks. The 3D racer includes seven unique vehicles and a host of twists, turns, and hazards littering the diverse driving environments.

Kevin J. Roberts, Superscape CEO, commented: "We are pleased to add five premium 3D titles from Fishlabs to our portfolio of high quality games. The Fishlabs titles are simply outstanding and will be a new category builder for the 3D mobile Java industry. Together with our existing portfolio of 17 released 3D titles, this strengthens our pole position as the leading publisher of 3D mobile games."
