Press Release

18th October 2005

Today Last Man Standing are delighted to announce LMS Live 2006 (, the UK's first Xbox 360 tournament which will take place on 11th February 2006.

Last Man Standing has worked with the gaming community over the last two years, creating a successful online tournament system made specifically for gamers, by gamers.

LMS Live 2006 is already backed by established names such as Codemasters,, Joystick Junkies, Xequted, Games Network TV, with many more names being added to the list daily. It is set to be the gaming event of the year and will launch Last Man Standing's live event schedule into action.

This is a live launch event pitching together 15 invited Xbox Live teams from across the UK and Ireland on Microsoft's upcoming next-generation system, the highly anticipated Xbox 360. Clans invited include PMS Clan, Alpha Siege International, UK Frag Dolls, TGSN, The Elite Renegades and gaming legends the 4Kings.

LMS have left one space open for a 16th team. Clans can register their interest on the new website and this will culminate in a December tournament to decide the last place at this prestigious tournament.

Housed in a state-of-the-art venue, LMS Live 2006 is a 'real world' tournament, and has the backing of leading publishers and gaming press. The event will be filmed for Sky Digital's Game Guru show by a crew from Games Network TV (Sky Digital Channel 179).

"LMS Live 2006 will be the first ever LAN tournament on the Xbox 360. This is a launch event to bring these clans together and bring LMS into the mainstream. Participating teams will be part of gaming history. This first event is exclusive and we have chosen 15 clans that typify what is great about the Xbox Live community. Their dedication to gaming and their communities is truly outstanding. The day will consist of team and individual player tournaments on Xbox 360," enthused Mark Boadey, co-founder of LMS.

"We decided to make our first live event exclusive. The 15 clans have been chosen on merit for varying reasons. We have BXB LAN tournament winners CGS, World Cyber Game finalists the 4Kings, and experienced event-goers Alpha Siege International. We have clans who have worked tirelessly in building a great reputation through their fair gaming and their professional-looking websites, such as The Usual Suspex, The Elite Renegades, LOX, AAKS and 49CMD. We have established gaming clans with huge communities such as TGSN and Ice Clan UK, and popular girl gaming clans PMS clan and UK Frag Dolls. We are certain this is going to be a day to remember. We also hope to secure a celebrity team from BBC Radio One! Ideally we would have liked any clan to attend and we hope to make this possible later in the year at a larger event".

The website, detailing the event also went live today and a PowerPoint presentation about the event is available on request.
