FEAR 2 refused classification in Australia

Classification board denies the title an MA15+ rating, effectively banning the game

Monolith Production's upcoming title, FEAR 2: Project Origin, has been refused classification in Australia - banning it from being sold in the region.

The Australian Classification Board and Classification Review Board has so far given no reasons for its decision. However, the group is notoriously strict on videogames having recently refused to classify Fallout 3, which later passed with an MA15+ rating.

Currently Australia only offers classification for games up to MA15+ leaving any titles intended for 18 year-olds and above without the possibility of release in the region.
