EA reveals Suda51 collaboration in Tokyo

Shadows of the Damned leads EA's Tokyo Game Show presentation

EA has given its Tokyo Game Show presentation, leading with the confirmation of Shadows of the Damned as the long-awaited collaboration between Grasshopper's eccentric chief executive Goichi Suda and Resident Evil director Shinji Mikami. The game will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Summer 2011.

"We are excited to finally take the cover off our latest project and invite gamers from around the globe to experience this new, warped world we have created," said Suda.

"By partnering with EA, a publisher that truly shares our commitment to quality and innovation, we have been able to develop Shadows of the Damned according to our ambitious vision while creating an entertainment property we believe will appeal to a global audience."

"We are honoured to be working with Suda-san and Mikami-san and all of the wonderfully creative minds at Grasshopper," added EA Partners' general manager David DeMartini.

"This is one of the most daring and innovative projects in the EA Partners program. We look forward to launching this game next summer."

The Redwood publisher also shared some new details on Alice: Madness Returns, Dead Space 2 and Create, which was confirmed for a cross-platform November release.

EA also revealed its first 3DS title, the Viva Pinata-esque My Garden, which will see players tending a garden and attracting animals to it.
