Executive Lunch Sessions

Limited spaces available for UK games companies attending GDC.

The programmes, which aim to help you ‘connect, discover and showcase’ your business, include Executive Lunch Sessions and a Best of British Showcase taking place from 2nd – 4th March 2011.

The Executive Lunch Sessions will give UK game companies (SMEs) the chance to find out more about future trends and explore hot industry topics. Past speakers at the sessions include Motorola, Sony, EA, Incomm, Apple, Nintendo, Playfish and Facebook. Spaces on the lunch sessions are limited to 20 UK companies and cost £515 per company.  To register go to www.gamehorizon.net/ukti-gdc-mission/

Darren Falcus, MD Iguana Entertainment said “The previous UKTI lunch session that I attended at GDC was excellent, very informative, well organized and a great chance to discuss business with a host of key industry people. It was certainly a highlight of my GDC visit.”

Jason Kingsley from Rebellion said: “I found the lunches were a very useful place to revisit and build on business acquaintances and meet new, high powered individuals in an informal setting for an extended period of time.  Getting more than a few minutes with some of these people is difficult at the best of times.  Sharing lunch with them is priceless.”

The Best of British Showcase will allow 15 UK companies to have the opportunity to demo their games and services to international key industry decision makers, press and potential partners. Companies will be given their own branded demo station and will receive a GDC Expo pass worth $250. The chosen companies will also benefit from having their showcase promoted to UKTI San Francisco’s vast and expansive industry contacts.

A competitive application process will select the best, cutting-edge companies to attend the Brit Showcase. Attendance to the Executive Lunches is on a first come first served basis.
