Eurogamer extends reach with KISS content deal

UK videogames media publisher Eurogamer Network has signed a deal with the KISS group which will see the firm's content being used across KISS branded properties including radio, television, online and mobile.

Eurogamer Network publishes leading UK consumer videogames website Eurogamer.net as well as rapidly growing videogames TV site Eurogamer TV and other properties including GamesIndustry.biz.

KISS operates media properties in the UK which reach an audience of around seven million consumers every month, including the KISS 100 radio station, a TV station and the KISS100.com website.

Eurogamer will be providing content and for all of these outlets, and the partnership will be promoted through all of them - with presenters introducing the gaming content into the running of the station through competitions, reviews and eventually, "live" gaming events.

"The KISS community are passionate not only about music but gaming, fashion and clubbing," commented KISS commercial director Kurt Edwards. "Research was telling us that gaming was playing an ever more important role in their lives, so this link up with Eurogamer allows us to offer them the credible gaming content they want."

"The online games media market in the UK has become very competitive, but Eurogamer demonstrated a real willingness to do things differently along with a refreshing flexibility in delivering ideas. I'm delighted to be working with them," he concluded.

Eurogamer Network Ltd. is the publisher of GamesIndustry.biz.
