EUK: "We're still looking for a buyer"

Administrator says there's no change in plans to sell Woolworths' distribution business

Deloitte, administrator to Woolworths and its distribution arm Entertainment UK, has said it is still seeking a buyer for the latter business despite moves to close the retailer.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Jamie Harley, spokesperson for Deloitte, commented that for the time being Woolworths' status had not changed the company's plan for EUK.

"At the moment the position remains the same with EUK," he explained. "We're still looking for a buyer, there's been no change there - we are still pursuing a sale of EUK."

This comes after reports that the distributor owed Nintendo and Microsoft a combined GBP 47 million, and that Ubisoft could lose up to EUR 1.5 million (GBP 1.3 million) if EUK collapses.
