ESL Pro Series Season 2

Final to be staged at London's Congress Centre on July 4th.

Cologne, 26th of June, 2009 – The end of the regular season approaches and with it the finals of the second Electronic Sports League Pro Series UK Season, the premier league of competitive played computer games. The event takes place at the Congress Centre based in Londons West End, just a minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Underground Station. On July the 4th from 10am, the eight best teams in the disciplines Counter-Strike: Source and Call of Duty 4 and the best eight gamers in Quake3 Arena and Trackmania Nations: Forever will compete for the championship title and a total prize money of £30.000.

After ten match weeks, a total of four teams and gamers per discipline have managed to qualify for the grand finals of the second Season of the ESL Pro Series UK. Qualified are, among others, the traditional british clans of Dignitas in Counter-Strike: Source and Reason Gaming in Call of Duty as well as the famous gamers Jonathan "darkY" Holmes in Trackmania Nations: Forever and Aaron-Anton "HELL" Jones in Quake 3 Arena. The games will be played in front of fanatic eSports fans.

Beside the matches all visitors can experience the ESL Pro Series games at first hand in a Call of Duty 4 and Counter-Strike: Source match in the free gaming area. Furthermore Blizzard's world class Role-Play-Game World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King will be playable for all fans.
