Envizions EVO: Phase One Console To Offer Akimbo Internet Video On Demand Service

ANNISTON, Ala./EWORLDWIRE/April 4, 2006 --- Envizions Computer Entertainment Corporation today announced that its next generation media entertainment game console Evo will ship with Akimbo, the first Internet video-on-demand service for television. Akimbo currently offers a catalogue of more than 8,000 movies and television programs to subscribers who choose their selections from the easy-to-use Akimbo Guide. More than 150 new programs are added each week, in 85 categories that include everything from mainstream television shows, to anime and extreme sports. The Evo system will make its first appearance at E3 in May.

The Evo: Phase One merges PC applications, media center and gaming into one compact unit. The ability to access the Akimbo Service through each Evo console will allow consumers to enjoy thousands of great movies, videos and documentaries from Akimbo and the comfort of the couch.

"Envizions is very excited about the partnership with Akimbo," said Derrick Samuels, CEO and Founder. "Akimbo gives Evo the ability to be a full multi-media entertainment device that can deliver a great media experience for the whole family."

"Envizions' support of Media Center and HDTV makes it an ideal new way to introduce our service to an entirely new group of subscribers," said Joshua Goldman, CEO of Akimbo Systems. "Thanks to Evo, gamers will now be able to discover a whole universe of entertainment on Akimbo."
