Enjoy Tokyo Game Show and X06 direct from your living room with an all-access pass to the biggest video game events of the autumn

Xbox Live is "Bringing It Home" and invites Xbox 360 owners to check out games, demos, trailers and news from the show floors

19th September, 2006

Gamers don't have to be on the Tokyo Game Show and X06 guest lists to have a front row seat to all of the action, because this year Xbox brings these event show floors to you. Following on from the success of "E3: Bringing It Home," Xbox is inviting all gamers to enjoy exclusive access via Xbox Live Marketplace to Tokyo Game Show, the largest show from the world's second largest gaming market, and X06, the ultimate Microsoft games showcase.

From Wednesday 20th September to Friday 29th September, connected gamers can access the best content from the Tokyo Game Show in Japan and X06 in Barcelona, Spain, including highlights from both press briefings, daily updates and behind the scenes videos from the show floors as well as the hottest playable game demos and videos in high definition. The majority of this content will only be available until 08.00 a.m. GMT on 30th September, so be sure to download everything you want while it is available.

There will also be a brand new Xbox Live Arcade title launch each week, one at Tokyo Game Show and one at X06, including a never before announced major franchise making its way onto Xbox Live Arcade. In total, more than 100 pieces of new downloadable content will be available to gamers during the nine day period. In addition to new playable game demos, there will also be new game videos from the following titles being showcased at Tokyo Game Show and/or X06:

Call of Duty® 3 (Activision) Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 (Tecmo) Forza Motorsport 2 (Microsoft Game Studios) Kayne & Lynch (Eidos) Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (Microsoft Game Studios) Need for Speed Carbon (EA) Project Sylpheed (Square-Enix) Shrek 3 (Activision) Viva Piñata (Microsoft Game Studios) Plus additional high definition videos from games to be announced at Tokyo Game Show and X06 For gamers looking to further personalise their Xbox 360 experience there will be new picture packs and themes for titles including Alan Wake, Fable 2, Mass Effect and Forza 2.

Xbox® is feeling extra sociable this month and offering European gamers a chance to experience Xbox Live for over a week, absolutely free, from 20th to 29th September, 2006. The free week of Xbox Live is sponsored by Windows Live Spaces.

Multiplayer, fully connected gaming action, including the ability to choose from a full calendar of events such as competitions and Game With Fame sessions, is usually only available to Xbox Live Gold members. However, on 20th September at 00.01 local time, Xbox will flick the switch, giving gamers in Europe full access and the chance to see what everyone is talking about, until the free trial ends on 29th September at 23.59 local time.

To make sure you can access Xbox Live during the free week, all you need to do is plug a broadband cable into the back of your Xbox 360 console. This will give you the standard Xbox Live Silver membership which will be upgraded automatically on 20th September. Then you'll get instant access to connected, multiplayer gaming, retro-style Xbox Live Arcade titles, the latest game demos, movie trailers, music videos plus participate in all the exciting events on the Xbox Live Calendar!
