Empire extends Ford Racing distribution deal with Take Two

British publisher Empire Interactive has announced that it has signed a North American distribution deal for the next title in the Ford Racing series with Take Two Interactive's publishing label 2K Games.

Ford Racing 3, which features 55 licensed Ford vehicles ranging from sports cars through to trucks, will be launched on PS2, Xbox and PC in North America by the recently formed 2K Games.

The deal is an extension of Empire's previous arrangement with Take Two, which distributed both of the former Ford Racing titles in the territory - amassing over a million sales between the two games.

"We have enjoyed great success working with Take-Two on the Ford Racing Franchise," commented Empire CEO Ian Higgins, "and therefore are delighted to continue with them on this new instalment."
