Mobile Gaming Leader to Create Games Based on Hit 1980's Television Series

LOS ANGELES, CA - October 22, 2004 - elkware Inc., a leading developer of mobile entertainment, today announced that it has secured a license from Universal Studios Consumer Products Group to create mobile games based on the television series that defined the 1980's, "Miami Vice." All the exploits of Crockett and Tubbs in sun-drenched 1980's Miami will be available on handsets through several carriers this holiday season.

"'Miami Vice' is one of the most influential and popular television shows of all time," said Domenica Dinkheller, elkware Vice President Sales Americas & Global Licensing. "We plan to bring the same level of storytelling, style and action to our mobile game."

"The licensing of 'Miami Vice' for the mobile space is consistent with our strategy of bringing the depth of Universal's content portfolio to mobile users," said Jeremy Laws, Vice President of Media Licensing and Strategy for Universal's Consumer Products Group. "The property combines elements perfectly-suited to action gameplay and quintessential 80's style - delivering an engaging retro experience for consumers."
