Electronic Arts to co-publish Ridge Racer 6

Surrey-based publishing giant Electronic Arts has signed an agreement with Namco to bring hotly anticipated Xbox 360 title Ridge Racer 6 to PAL territories.

Surrey-based publishing giant Electronic Arts has signed an agreement with Namco to bring hotly anticipated Xbox 360 title Ridge Racer 6 to PAL territories.

The latest instalment in the RR series will feature more than 130 cars and 30 circuits, and a new World Explore mode designed to suit different driving styles. It will also be the first Ridge Racer game that allows players to race online via Xbox Live.

This isn't the first time EA and Namco have teamed up to publish a title in Europe, with deals involving cult hit We Love Katamari and PSP shooter Dead to Rights already signed and sealed.

There's no word on a release date for Ridge Racer 6, but series fans are hopeful that the game could be in the shops in time for the Xbox 360's European launch on December 2.
