EIEF confirmed for 2007

The Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival will once again take place in Scotland's capital city in August next year, <i>GamesIndustry.biz</i> can exclusively reveal.

The Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival will once again take place in August next year, GamesIndustry.biz can exclusively reveal.

Chris Deering, chairman of this years' festival confirmed that "EIEF 5 is already set for August 2007," with "many presentations and screenings already lined up".

EIEF 2007 will mark the fifth anniversary of the event, with Deering promising some "very exciting" plans for the festival.

EIEF focuses on the cultural significance of videogames, where industry leaders share their views and ideas about the games industry and its future.

The event has grown to incorporate game screenings for consumers and industry award ceremonies, and takes place as part of the wider-reaching Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
