Eidos adopts GameShadow technology

GameShadow has announced a new partnership with software publisher Eidos Interactive, which will see the company's automatic update and patch service for PC games included with Eidos' entire spring portfolio.

GameShadow has announced a new partnership with software publisher Eidos Interactive, which will see the company's automatic update and patch service for PC games included with Eidos' entire spring portfolio.

Designed to ensure that PC games are always updated to ensure that gamers are experiencing the best possible version, the GameShadow technology automatically updates all of a userâs games and graphics drivers to produce the best performance from the game and their hardware. GameShadow also provides subscribers with game-related content including demos, trailers, updates and additional content relevant to their individual game collections and their gaming interests.

Tony Treadwell, GameShadow founder, commented: "We are delighted to be working with Eidos to ensure that gamers get the most out of their PCs. Gamers can use GameShadow to get software updates that improve the performance of their hardware and to make sure that they always up-to-date with the latest upgrades and free giveaways for Eidos games."

GameShadowâs partners include ATI, Eidos, Hexus.net, Konami, Ubisoft, Via Technologies and Voodoo PCs, and the GameShadow product currently supports over 1,500 PC games. The technology will be included with numerous Eidos titles, including Commandoes: Strike Force, Championship Manager 2006, Tomb Raider: Legend, Rogue Trooper and a range of future titles from the publisher.
